Expressions series - March 2013

The portraits of older women I know are most recent works (March 2013) which celebrate all the qualities of the young women above but with the special qualities of life experience added. Each women expresses something particular about their gifts for us to see in their faces – it may be strength, inner beauty or wisdom – Its up to the viewer to decide. All the portraits are an extension of the previous Women as Icons series – with the halos less obviously defined, but only hinted at in the use of the gold.
